Miike Snow - The Subtle Gentlemen

Request by Anki Hammarström.

Since they are so mysterious their biography will be short. It all began in Stockholm 2007 where Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg had been active as a producers duet called Bloodshy & Avant, most famous for Britney Spears Toxic. Then they added up to a trio with Andrew Wyatt, an american singer/songwriter. With all the ingredients in the soup they could start cooking. The result was Animal (Released 2009) and the single exploded in Sweden and the UK. This year they have worked mostly on spreading their music universally and reaching out worldwide.

As I have been strutting around listening to these fellas, prosperous feelings have impregnated my mind and body. They are a more mysterious and explicit pop version of Kent. Also not so depressing as Kent can be, but more like a gentlemen's disco sound.

Animal is a dead on target track that anyone pop-oriented could dig and is perfect for as I did, waltz around in the winterland. Burial is also a song on their debute album Miike Snow that is quite similar to Animal, with the perfect sound that easily can get you back in harmony after a stressful day at work or school.

The funny thing with Miike Snow is that you can pick out any of their songs. They are designed in a way so that you just can add some loops and bass and they are perfect for the club. This brings possibilities to DJs.

I did too at first. But it will stick. Tho. You easily overlisten it because of the lack of a guitar=/ 2010-12-08 22:17

I have to admit I listened to Animal, but that was as far as I came. I Will listen to them now and give them a new chance! 2010-12-08 22:13
