Aloe Blacc is what we need

The soul singer of 2010/2011.

I first heard Aloe Blacc on P3 with his biggest hit Aloe Blacc – I Need A Dollar (featured as iTunes single of the week) and my musical sense enjoyed some fresh tunes that stood out from the regular stream of pop music that P3 usually deliver. It sure was a healthy discovery and I was glad to hear this kind of music on swedish radio.

Aloe Blacc has developed into an american soul singer, rapper and musician from starting as an MC (Master of Ceremonies) 1995 in a hiphop group called Emanon. He hasn't been very known until 2010 when he released his debut album Good Things and delivered a kind of oldschool jazzy touch to the hiphop culture.

I hope that Aloe blacc is the start of a new trend that will strike root for a long long time.
