The average guy among the geniuses
Not long ago, I came across a picture of The Allmighty Beatles with the description "Three of the greatest composers in modern time... and Ringo" Well atleast they got their facts right. Of the hundreds and hundreds of songs the Beatles recorded, probably 95 percent were made by McCartney/Lennon. Geroge Harrison was pretty shy at the beginning of their era, but took some of the spotlight in the late days and created some of the greatest tunes ever written, such as; "Something", "Here comes the Sun" and "While my Guitar gently Weeps". And Ringo... Well he did this decent song called "Octopus' Garden" that is located in the Abbey Road album.
Still I believe that we give poor ol' Ringo too much of a tough break. He was an OK drummer that mastered a couple of neat fills (A Day in the Life for example). Ringo happend to join the greatest band of all time without the magic touch from God.
LEAVE RINGO ALONE!
